Kulongoski Earns Oregon Education Association Endorsement

Portland - Late Friday evening, Governor Ted Kulongoski received the endorsement of the Oregon Education Association. The Governor issued the following statement today:

"I am honored and grateful to have the support of the Oregon Education Association.

"Investing in our schools is the single most important issue facing our state, and my education funding plan is my highest priority for my second term. We must make the investments in our schools today that will ensure the future economic prosperity of our state.

"Last night, I asked the OEA to be a partner with me in my plan for a sustained, long-term investment in Oregon's education system, from pre-school through graduate school. I am gratified to know that Oregon's education professionals want to roll up their sleeves and work side-by-side with me in this important endeavor."
