Statesman Journal Endorses Ted

Sunday, the Salem Statesman Journal endorsed Governor Kulongoski for reelction. Some excerpts from the editorial:

Today the state economy is doing better, although government's role in that is debatable. Oregon's roads and bridges are getting badly needed repairs. Reforms have begun on the public-employee pension system. All of this happened on your watch, so you deserve at least some credit.

And in a personal way, you have set an example for Oregonians: You make it a point to attend the funerals of soldiers killed in the Iraq war and Afghanistan. You have reached out to their families. You have acted out of genuine compassion and respect, not political gain.

You are passionate about Oregon. You care deeply about the state's economic and environmental livability.
