Ted Launches New Ad Highlighting His Leadership Combating Meth
The campaign's latest television ad will be airing today, highlighting the Governor's leadership in combating meth addiction in our communities. The ad features Dee Lewitz of Milwaukie describing the changes she's seen in her neighborhood as a result of Governor Kulongoski's efforts.
The Governor led the way, passing the toughest restrictions in the nation on meth ingredients. He established a Meth Task Force to comprehensively combat the problem using law enforcement, greater prosecution and increased treatment opportunities.
Since then, the number of small meth labs in Oregon has declined 70 percent.
