The Oregonian Endorses Kulongoski, "His first term priorities were Oregon's greatest needs"

Governor Kulongoski picked up The Oregonian's endorsement today, adding to the list of papers across the state supporting him in the May 16 primary.

The editorial noted, "[T]his election is about more than party fealty or who is the best 'Democrat.' It is about who is Oregon's best Democratic candidate for governor.

"That is clearly Ted Kulongoski. He has the most political experience, the longest record of accomplishment and the deepest understanding of Oregon issues. Kulongoski also gives Democrats the best opportunity to again win the governorship in November."
