Kulongoski Challenges Bush Administration to Protect Our Forests
Governor Kulongoski announced Friday he will petition President Bush to stop the rollback of rules protecting roadless areas of national forests in Oregon.
These efforts continue Ted's fight to preserve Clinton administration rule prohibiting logging or road development in these untouched areas. He has also worked with other Western states to challenge the Bush adminisinstration policy in the courts.
