Governor approves millions in additional funding for Oregon Schools

Governor Kulongoski signed into law a $42 million increase for public schools across the state on Tuesday.

The new funding comes from additional lottery revenues, which legislative leaders agreed to devote to education during the past special session.

"The most important investment we can make is to make sure students get a good education," Kulongoski said during the signing ceremony.
